Vacation Homes
Our past students were all very much liked in the community. Because of our good reputation, some families now offer their homes to River Echo when they go on their family vacation.
The Wakefield area is also known as 'cottage country'. There are many cottages for rent during the summer month, but the demand is great and you should contact us early if you want to rent one - especially if you want to live by the water.

Our Recommendation - Homestay
Of course, we recommend staying in a Canadian Home. To make the fastest progress with your language studies, you want to be immersed in the language and the culture - 24 hours a day.
You tell us what your 'perfect' host would be: a family with or without kids? A retired couple who love the outdoors? A person with a strong artistic bent? Someone quiet or lively?
We have a long list of possible homestay options ... people who told us what their 'perfect' guest would be like.
For Example: Sally and Regula

- Sally and Regula
For Regula from Switzerland we chose Sally as her Canadian host. From what she had told us about herself we knew they would get along 'like a house on fire'. And they did!
Sally is typical of our hosts: she has lots of interests and loves to meet new people. Sally is a teacher in Ottawa and has time during the summer to welcome some of our students. Her lovely house is just a 5 minute walk from River Echo, and it's right by the river.
Sally keeps in touch with her guests after they leave here and some of them even come back for a visit!
